How to remove..
How hard is it to take out the front and rear windows on a square body?
i heard they "pop" in and you don't need an installer to put them in? my new cab has a broke windshieild and a solid back window (i like my slider rear ) so i want to swap out my front and back from ym old cab. |

front I don't know about the popping in and out someone else will have to help you there but the rear window does just pop in and out I'd recommend finding a buddy to help you. have you buddy in the bed of the truck making sure the glass doesn't fall out and shatter and help to guide it. Then get in the cab with a thick plastic putty knife and start to peel the rubber gasket from the cab.

Re: How to remove..
I have never reused the gasket, and have found it to be very easy and simple to cut the glass out with a utility knife. This way you avoid putting any stress on the glass while removing, which I have found is an easy way to crack it. I have never cracked a piece of glass while installing them, and have done quite a few tractors, trucks, etc.

Re: How to remove..
I just did my rear window this weekend. Theres a "lock" in the gasket. Peel that out and then just work the glass out, its not bad coming out. Going in is another story. Use a lot of soapy water and a plastic putty knife like he said. Getting the lock back in isnt fun at all without the installer, thats why i have one. soapy water, patience, and sweat.

Re: How to remove..
You want the solid? The PO had it put in about a year ago so its still perfect. I put a Marine Corps Rifle team sticker on it but that can be taken off. I wouldnt know how to ship it but let me know if you want to figure something out.
