New from the North Dak.
Howdy been looking at this site for a long time but never joined due to the lack of a good ole chevy truck.. just remided that not to long ago though with a recent purchase of my first chevy. it kinda fell into my lap really. A freind of mine said he had a truck for sale that had been sitting in his garage for the past 3 years he said the trans was fried. so he wanted 300 bucks for it.. or Buy a fish tank for 300 bucks and get the truck for 100. I replied "I like fish." and the deal was made i went over to look at the truck and low and behold it was a ole heavy Chevy 454 th/400 package so i was sold. I ended up towing the truck home and then having it taken in to get the trans rebuilt sadly though the transmission was barely functioning at the time of purchase it was well on the out-road. all in all even though its a rough looking truck i ended up spending about 1000 bucks for it.. and to boot the engine was rebuilt not to long ago. so a big block rebuilt trans rebuilt long box for about a grand.. I'm not complaining .. and she scoots along to.. to my surprise. You see the speedometer is a lill off.. well it wont top out at 100 but fallowing my friend home last weekend in his lil ford mustang gt i found out i was doing about 135 down a lil bit of ole rural 2 track blacktop .. yeah it scoots and boy does it sound good with them dual straight pipes and cherry bombs.
wish i had my ole granddads truck though it was bought brand new in 79 and has been parked in a garage for its entire life of 31 years still smellin new its a silverado 350 300 package but its pristine at 65,000 miles on the clock still with that new truck smell.. but mine aint much of a looker though. |

From Kalifornia. I like your truck, I'd roll with it without a problem.
