Finally got it to the shop
So I got my motor rebuilt last weekend and all put in on sunday and drove it monday. Well it was alot of fun to be driving it again but i was really unsure about the motor it was my first ever solo rebuild. Monday afternoon I noticed that the truck just didnt feel like it was running right. I couldnt expain it just seem to feel "off". So I broke down and paid the money to ave id dyno tuned. Has the shop check and re adjust my lifters as im not the greatest with them and none were over tight just a few loose onse from what he said. Also I had my timeing at 36 degree base timing and i guess that is bad cause he dialed it back down to like 29 or 30 and not my total timing is at 34. I dont know anything about timeing other that turn cap till it sounds smoothest and tighten the bolt method. Now i just have to take my jet kit to him in the morining and he will finish tuning the carb and timing on the dyno then hopefully we will put down about 3 performance pulls and get some numbers on paper!!!!

Re: Finally got it to the shop

Re: Finally got it to the shop
its 125 an hour and it took the whole hour but its running alot better now and putting down some decent numbers. 400 to the crank and 320 to the wheels. im losing alot thru my atomatic and my stall, then the two piece drive shaft is robbing alil too. Im going to take it back in a week or two. The shop is positive with alil more timing ill put down alot more and i need new plugs cause mine are basically fouled. I got some new ones a few minutes ago but i just came off a 36 hour shift so gonne get some sleep first so ill do it tonight. Man it was awesome watching the dyno computer do its thing.
