What headers will fit for a small block on L6 mounts with a manual trans?

Re: headers for small block on L6 mounts
Block hugger headers would fit for sure.

Re: headers for small block on L6 mounts
See this thread http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=173037 for my setup. Summit brand headers fit fine. Concensus seems to be that these are re-labeled Dynomax headers.

Re: headers for small block on L6 mounts
I used a set of hedmans for a 67-87 on mine and they cleared the linkage just fine. I am also running small block w manual trans on the l6 mounts

Re: headers for small block on L6 mounts
I've got I6 mounts on a sbc and used headers for a second gen Camaro. I used them because my truck is lowered and the collectors don't drop below the frame.
PM me if you would like to see pics of the setup. Last edited by slowtruck; 09-12-2010 at 06:56 AM. |

Re: headers for small block on L6 mounts
This is a set of pacesetter headers for a 70-81 Camaro with the I6 motor mounts, sorry for the delay in getting the pics. Also to let you know the truck is on 2.5" spindles with 2" springs in the front and 5" spring and 1.5" blocks in the rear for a 4.5/6.5 drop. I knoe in the pics it doesn't look like it, but they are 2.5" higher than the Hooker header that are made for the truck.

Re: headers for small block on L6 mounts
It looks like 67-72 4x4 headers would work and get you some ground clearance to boot. 63-82 Corvette headers might work as well just eyeballin' 'em.
