Post handling

i have just bought a 81 full size gm pu.how can i improve the handling?it feels like i am driving in a box.is the seat lower than 67 to 72?the older trucks i have seem to ride better.only change i made so far is to get rid of the old bulky steering wheel and use a new grant

Hey Fast Andy -
You are driving in a box. You may want to add a front sway bar. They can be had from LMC. http://www.lmctruck.com Other than that, stiffer springs/shocks may help. Good luck!

dont get one from LMC! get one from the junkyard from any 67-87 chevy truck.... alot cheaper for the same thing

Raise the bench seat with some steel blocks. I did it with some unistruts. Raised it 1.25 inches. I love it!!! Just bought longer bolts and some washers. Change the shocks. They probably don't work anyway. Use some Monroe shocks. Best on the market if you ask my opnion.
