Removing OverLoad Spring For Small Drop?

About how much drop will you get removing the overload spring? Im doing a friends truck this weekend and he needs a 3/3 to sit perfect, im hoping with 2inch drop shackles and the overload removed I can get close to the 3" drop out back. Or is it going to be like a 2.5" drop? His truck is a light duty so I cant remove another spring, because he would only have 2 leafs...

Re: Removing OverLoad Spring For Small Drop?

I would estimate the drop will equal the thickness of the overload itself.

At curb, the spring itself is not engaged, so it is acting just like a static spacer.
