Just bought 1971 Cheyenne
I found this 1971 Cheyenne LWB here in Dallas. It got new paint and upholstery about 5-6 years ago. What I like about it, it is all original. Nothing has been hacked for speakers or any other add-ons. It even still has the original AM radio and hubcaps. It is very very clean. The only issue is on the way home the clutch in the A/C compressor went out! I gave 7K for this, think I got a good deal?

Re: Just bought 1971 Cheyenne
The truck looks great. Don't think you could build one that nice for 7k so I'd say you got a good deal if it is as nice as it looks in the pics. Congrats!

Great looking truck, that's a good buy. I emailed him, but he never emailed me back.

Re: Just bought 1971 Cheyenne
He has a body shop in South Dallas. He did an excellent job on the body, paint and interior. He didn't touch under the hood. that is all original. I now need a new compressor or maybe just a rebuild. I also notice the high fan don't work. If I remember right the high setting on the fan has its own fuse, just need to find it. I know my 1971 COrvette had an inline fuse for the high speed circuit.

Re: Just bought 1971 Cheyenne
That's the way to buy them, if you can. Saves a lot of money in the long run. Nice!

Re: Just bought 1971 Cheyenne
Very Nice Clean truck
Good price also On the Fan speed issue Check the fuse first You may also want to check the short ground wire off of the relay harness It is located up high on the inside firewall behind the glovebox. Once you locate it testing is easy simply attach a ground while the switch is on high Usually the symtoms are Low = low Med = Medium High = Very low
