Question Lowering Help

Lowering a 81 1/2t scottsdale.Already decided to go with dropped spindles in the front. What are my options for lowering the rear.I have never lowered a leaf spring rear.
This drop is for funtion, not looks. In other words, need to have it lower for easier access!!
Thanks for any advise,Mike

What I want is probably a little rake,I would guess a 4 in. drop. What is the most cost effective way to get it?I still want to haul stuff.

Buy a shackle/hanger kit from Bell Tech. I think it cost me about $100 when I bought mine a couple years ago. This will not affect your ride and is fairly easy to install. You cannot put in blocks, all 73-87's have the axle mounted below the springs, therefore if you put in blocks you will be actually raising the vehicle.

Question

Where can I get some cheap drop spindles
for a 85 chevy truck

The lowest price I have seen was $212 a
pair

I realy dont want to pay a lot

Also some one told me that I could
drop it by fliping the spindles upside
down and swaping sides - Whats up wit that?
-- I never herd that before --
