Re: What did you get done 9/26/10 edition

I went to the pull a part and picked up 3 dashes, 2 door panels, a couple of sets of cab trim, and a blazer tailgate band......I could have gotten 5 dashes but the other two were 75-80 and I have one of those...I don't think there are many guys wanting those, but I may go back next weekend and pick them and any others up depending...I'll be taking orders probably tomorrow...yall look for my product thread in the vendor's section......and here's a pic of what I got today besides the truck parts...

Congrats Stitch on the sewing machine! Oh, we made a small road trip and picked up an alternator that gmc91 gave us. Wish we would've had more time to spend, but had prior engagements. Installed alternator, done all necessary testing, and all is well. Here's a few pics

Re: What did you get done 9/26/10 edition

Puished the 73 out today for the first time, to get some new pics now that it is painted and mostly assembled. Got both front and rear bumpers on finally.

I also attended a wedding of a good friend, had fun going out with the wife and NO kids.

Other than that, house and yard work.

Was really busy so I just had time to take out some of the pillar moldings around the cab so I can paint them...

Got my rotors turned down, new brakes and washed the damn thing. I did two loads of sod last weekend and drove a dirty truck all week, made me crazy lol. Nice job on the frame.

It's great to see it in the light of day. Those pics should help motivate you to get it wrapped up and ready for the Spring show season next year. Love those bumpers...

Patience grasshopper. Your skill will come with practice.

I worked on my 77 all week, and through out the weekend. I'm done to the wire on having my E3 installed for it's debut in the Ride Tech Booth at the Ft Worth Goodguys show. I have the system installed, I just have to eliminate some error codes for it to be fully functional.

I get to spend the next few evenings chasing gremlins and detailing the truck. It's going to be a busy week.

Re: What did you get done 9/26/10 edition

I almost forgot I also made a deal on the crappy house next door. So hopefully I have a place to store the truck for the winter and maybe just maybe I'll be ready to build a new shed come spring.

If you end up doing the same to your 77 (and I think you should), let me know...I have some tips for you to make the install easier...and can refer you to the shop that did mine.

Got a used vent window from U pull it and put it in. Just in time too, it's pouring rain and the truck is outside, working on another car in the garage right now.

Jeff I will keep that in mind. I am waiting to see what Top Banana comes up with. They say that once they get the 67-72 smoothie bumper on the market, that the 73-87 will be next. Not sure what year break they will start with though.

Doing the 67-72 front and rear first. The front is ready for production now. I'm not holding my breath that they will be ready when I need one.
