Bucket seat gurus: tell me what I need!

Ok, I've got a '72 GMC Suburban, and the build sheet saiys it came originally with "HD Bucket Seats"...here's some pictures, and hopefully someone can tell me if I need the utility buckets, or the deluxe buckets.

It looks to me like there never was a console, as there are no holes in the original rubber mat, but it looks like there's some extra holes drilled, on top of the ones to mount the truck bench that's in it currently. Looks like twice as many welded nuts on the driver's side than on the passenger side...?

I would say that it came with utility buckets according to the SPID. Passenger side just has bolt holes that attach the bracket that catches on the latch in the back, front should be the same as drivers side. I can compare utility vs. sport brackets. I believe they mount in the same floor holes. Sharpie

I *thought* I read a post yesterday on here where someone stated that the brackets for the utility buckets were like 14+ inches versus 12+ inches for the custom buckets, but now I can't find it? Maybe they were referring to the top mounting holes, and the bottoms [to the floor] are the same?

You might be right. They are a wider seat. I have a set and the brackets, so I can compare and post here. I sold the blazer they came in so I can't just measure the floor. I did see a picture on here where someone used a console with them. I didn't realize one would fit. It looked really good. Sharpie

Looks like my original holes/marks are roughly 10" between the 2 inside holes and 17" between the 2 outside holes...
