Re: Off topic but dang
Even though this one is not all true, here in central Texas I know a lot of people with cattle ranches that keep a couple of mules with the heard. From what all the farmers say, the mules will defend their cattle against coyotes and other prey. Now swinging a mountain lion by the tail.... I have a couple scar's on my arm from angry house cats just trying to pet them...

From what all the farmers say, the mules will defend their cattle against coyotes and other prey. That's pretty common in my area.
There are lots of high-dollar horse farms and the mules look out of place, but they will attack any coyote stalking the horses.

Alot of us out here keep a burro with our brood cows. We know a burro hates anything canine, including dogs. An old burro we had almost killed one of our dogs in the corral, and I was in there putting out feed. The dog got under the fence, but sure never came back in the lot when "Chief" was there. The dog was barking at him when "Chief" got after him, tho.
Some people use LLamas too. Cayoterun
