Aluminum differetial covers ?

I'm considering buying a Strange or JPW heavy duty aluminum rear end cover. Are they worth the money? Will they clear a ECE super track bar? TIA.

Yes, they're worth having. Running w/o one cost me a ring & pinion set. IDK about the ECE bar, but an LPW cover will clear the factory track bar w/o any problems. They're definitely a wise investment.

worth it. look at the lpw covers for a backbrace, even if you don't buy the backbrace kit it will have the mounting holes for it if you ever decide you need it. first one i bought didn't have it and after bending the housing i had to replace the cover to use a backbrace. Dev.

TA Performance makes a low profile design. Which I think TAP makes them all for all the companies, they just have a different logo machined on the face.

That's the one I have. It's actually an LPW cover with provisions for a backbrace. I'd get it.

Some good pictures on the website. I wonder if you could get away with bolting it to the axle saddles instead of welding brackets on the axle tubes?

For the brace to effectively do it's job, I would say it should be attached to tabs welded directly to the axle tube.

The cover should be here today. I'm getting worried that my super track bar is going to have interference problems.....

Got the cover today and it's a really nice piece, however........the ECE track bar mount on the trailing arm puts the track bar in a position that causes intereference, . I think I have a couple of possible solutions. I'll post them when I get it figured out. Here's some pictures. Always something.....

I do, but that would defeat the purpose of the double adjustable pan hard bar, not that it needs to be changed that often.

It drives great. I dial in all four shocks and head to the country back roads. I put in on because I don't have the fabrication tools to make a anti roll bar set up. I was told the Anti-sway bar should help the truck plant its foot print more square on the launch. Also I think I noticed the spool feeling more aggressive on the tire on sharp turns, or I could be smoking something.

I bought the TA rear end cover and it hit my ECE track bar. I had to send it back for refund. Hopfully Hotrod can come up with a solution.
