ignition and key tumbler assembley
so... my truck has been starting funky latley, i would put my key and turn it but nothing would happen. all the accessories would come on, but to turning over or ignition. but after 2-3 tries it would start. about an hour ago i went to turn my truck on and the same thing happened again. i turned the key a bit and the whole tumbler flew out! haha... i was just wondering if this is a pretty easy fix? i work tomorrow but i can be a little late to fix this, is this something that is time consuming?

Re: ignition and key tumbler assembley
not too time consuming, but can bea pain in the a** if you dont know what your takingoff, pull the steering wheel off, then use a steering whel tool to compress the plate and spring that lock the wheel and remove the clip(snap ring) that holds them down, after that remove the signal lever, and the signal cam, use a pair of needle nose to remove a piece of plastic that covers a torx right under the ignition lock cylinder, once that screw is off, should pull right out, then reverse the process....hope it wasnt too confusing...
