K10 Pickup Front Springs

I'm still new to the 4x4 owners club. I got a 82 K10 4x4 originally had a 305, previous owner installed a 350 then went to a 454. Truck sits really level but I'm just a littled worried that the 1/2 ton front springs will not last. What are your thoughts or suggestions to help them poor suckers out. Can I stick 3/4 tons front springs under as a direct replacement or is this a chore? Thanks
