No brakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I have a 67' C-10 stepside ( all stock). Brake pedal turned to "mush" in 2 days and then "presto!" NO BRAKES!! Popped the lid on the master cylinder and the rear resevoir was "EMPTY"! Sounds like an easy one, huh? Blown brake line perhaps? Blown wheel cylinder maybe? Where did the fluid go? There are NO holes in any brake lines, the hubs were pulled and the wheel cylinders are BONE DRY!! Anyway, I bought a new master cylinder and installed it, filled it with fluid, called a freind to crack the bleeders and get it primed, and once again, "NOTHING"! The system WILL NOT prime!! Should I crack the nuts where the lines enter the master cylinder and bleed the master cylinder itself first? I'm at wits end here!!! HEEEEEELLLLLLPP!!!

Re: No brakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, it sounds like a good idea to crack the lines and bleed the master cylinder.

Re: No brakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah you have to bleed the master cylinder first. Wouldn't know it if I hadn't done it myself
........ Shouldn't you still have front brakes?
