BIG RED... My 70 GMC 3/4 ton
This is my 1970 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 that I am workin on right now. I bought it when i was 16, then put a 350 in bored.030 over, RV cam, Edelbrock intake and carb. It has a 6inch lift and had 37inch boggers or 36in PJ Dirt Grips in it through high school. But after graduating it sat alot due to me working and school. Now im back at it. This spring I picked up a rust free box, a decent cab (for northern wisconsin), and a pair of awesome doors. In the last couple weeks I have pulled the old bed, cab and front clip. Put on the new cab and box.
This is what i started out with, It is alot worse than it looks. With the cab, box and front clip stripped off Now with the "new" cab and box put on. Need to get the wiring and interior put together. As well as put the doors on and find a pair of front fenders. Its not gonna be show pretty but it will get used. Last edited by bigred70; 10-19-2010 at 05:33 AM. |

Re: BIG RED... My 70 GMC 3/4 ton
I am building this truck to drive, mud, and do some local truck pulls with. I want to take the lift springs out and put some heavier springs in it. I also need to rebuild the tranny. Any comments and input would be awesome.

Just about, probably the only body part getting re used is the radiator core support. The truck was far from original to begin with.
