Shocking Problem!!
Has anyone bought a drop kit from CPPJEFF? I bought a complete 4.5/6 drop flip kit shackles springs spindles and shocks for my 85 C-10. Problem is rear shocks are too short! The passenger side top shock mount is about 1 5/8 inches farther away than the driver side measuring to the axle centerline. The bed is off and the axle is square in the frame. I PMed Jeff a couple of days ago, but no response as yet. Could one of you guys measure your mounts and post it up? I'm stumped. The shocks are doesch 4052G and are 15 1/2 extended and 10 compressed. I don't have a fricking clue....Come on guys jump in here and help a GA boy out! Thanks Greg

Re: Shocking Problem!!
I have some of the same shocks and found that they seemed too short for my truck . I used the stock shocks . Are you trying to install the shocks with the truck at ride height or with the rear springs fully extended . If it is sitting on the ground with the springs compressed and it is still too short , then I imagine you will need different shocks. My drop shocks are still in the boxes for the same reason you mention . My truck is dropped 5 inches in back and they do not work for me .

Re: Shocking Problem!!
i thought shock extenders provide additional length for your shock absorbers and put the shock at a better angle for proper function. may be wrong tho

Re: Shocking Problem!!
Are you sure you have the fronts on the front, and rears on the rear? I thought my back drop shocks were too short, turns out I was trying to put the fronts on the back...lol. Switched them around, fit like a glove.

Thanks bigblock73, the front shocks are shorter than the rear shocks. Now i'm worried the front shocks may b too short as well. Thanks Greg
