WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
I need some rear sport bumper pieces to complete my swap. I have the NOS bumper, but need the factory brackets, license plate box, & gravel shields.
Let me know what you have & what you want for it.

Re: WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
Scoti, I know the brackets and license plate box are reproduced...and some of them are available from resto catalogs and are even GM piece.
I know where one truck in a private "yard" is that has everything, but it is 4 hour away and I only go there in early July every year.

Re: WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
I think your hunting a needle in a haystack here as those parts are always being requested , but you need to let us know if 73-80 or 81-87 style, crossy

The license box $24.95, gravel guards $11.95, and license plate light $21.95 is available from them also. The 81-87 brackets (all 4) are around $200+ from Classic Parts. I have a sent of NOS 81-87 "inners" and maybe some used "outers". I'll have to look.

Re: WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
SCOTI,... here's what I have.
NOS inners,... and oem outers that were bead blasted and painted with satin black. The inners were about $56 each, list price, in April '08 when I bought them. I would need $200 shipped to let them go.

Re: WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
Keith, those are nice...... too nice for my goal.
Bumper brackets just aren't the same as interior/exterior trim pieces that are visually noticed. Since they're out of site, straight, well-used parts are what I'm seeking. I'll have to hit the local wrecking yard for some used ones under a truck.

Re: WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
Do you just need it to be bolted on securely or do you want to see the correct brackets in place? If it is the first, then you can use Suburban brackets and do a little fab work for the inners. The suburban inners can be welded to some flat stock to make your own inner brackets. the outers are the same no matter what they came from except for Vans.I have a pair of the outer brckets for 81-87 bumpers I will let you have for the cost of shipping . Cant be too much.May even fit in a USPS flat rate box.

Re: WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
Bolted on securely w/the correct brackets if possible. Those outer brackets would work perfect. Let me know what you need & I'll send it your way. They will allow me to position the bumper & work on the hidden hitch.

Re: WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
I think I have everything but the inner brackets, and a hidden hitch. Trevino was going to take it, but he isn't sure if it will fit around his Suburban fuel tank. If not, I will be pulling the parts truck up to the shop this week if you want to take a look at it. The bumper was put in with just the outer brackets.

Re: WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
The hitch and bumper are mounted independently of each other. The outer brackets will hold the bumper, but it is less than ideal IMO. I figure if the factory designed it to use 4 brackets, they are probably supposed to be there (but have seen quite a few with just the outers). It will work, but wont stand up to much.

Re: WTB: Rear Sport Bumper Parts
