Brake/Gas Pedal replacement?
Hi,
I was looking around yesterday at the gas/brake pedal to get an idea of how to change them. I don't see any screws anywhere. How would I go about changing the gas and brake pedals?

Re: Brake/Gas Pedal replacement?
If you are just replacing the pads, I know the brake and or clutch is molded rubber that prys off the metal "base" of the petal and then a new one is fitted over that metal "base". I don't know about a gas pedal.

Re: Brake/Gas Pedal replacement?
The Gas pedal (at least for my 68) actually snaps onto two metal pegs in the floor and then "leans" against the accelerator linkage metal rod.

Re: Brake/Gas Pedal replacement?
Hate to bring up an old thread, but my gas pedal also connects on two pegs, the only pedals I've been able to find online and on junkers have been the type with the rubber or plastic base that slides in not clips on.
Any ideas where to get one? |
