exhaust system set up?

From intake back or? My truck had headers when i got it but i couldn't get those off fast enough. Went back with ramhorns and set of turbos dumped before the axle.

I have never seen exhaust ran out the sides of the frame. Does that cause in heating issues on the tires or under the cab sides?

I have a 350/350 combo with long headers. I thought about a short style that exits out in front of the rear tires, but wondered about getting fumes in the cab, i liked 66c10 full length set up though. never seen a set up like the first pic. but seems like a good idea. thanks for the input!

I've built a few exhaust systems that way for others, and it was the most practical way for me to route 3-inch tubing while keeping everything at, or above, the bottom of the frame, and mounting the mufflers under the bed to reduce drone in the cab. Plus, it opened up additional room between the frame rails under the cab for other items, like an trans oil cooler and my air solenoids, etc.

How close did u have to get the pipe to the frame? I'm just tryin to visualize doing it with everything on the truck.

Here’s mine – ram horn manifolds with 2 ¼” pipes leading to Flowtech Terminator mufflers and turn downs ahead of the axle:

I initially fabricated the exhaust with all of the sheetmetal still mounted to the chassis. This way, I positioned the tubing in the middle of the peak where the cab floor braces start their angles down to the rocker panel. Here are a couple of photos during fabrication that might help better explain...

That's exactly why I was asking the question. Thx man. That is a perfect picture. I like the idea, especially when 1. it keeps the drone from the cab, and 2. It means less twists and turns down thru the frame. Nice work my friend.

These are 4". I can try and add more of my system later. The fumes in the cab are not too bad when stopped at a light. I dont notice any while driving.
