Re: how do i remove wiper arms??
its been a while but this much i do know... you pick up the front of the arm, so the wiper is off the windshield... i believe there is a slide that come out of the arm up where it attaches to the linkage that pulls out maybe 1/9 inch then you pull the wiper arm up and off

Re: how do i remove wiper arms??
Theres a special tool made also, has a little hook that pulls up the arm cause there is a clip that holds the wiper on the little post thing.

Re: how do i remove wiper arms??
If you are careful you can do the same thing with a screwdriver. Also if you don't pull them straight off they will bind up on the splines on the shaft.

Re: how do i remove wiper arms??
i pressed that tab towards engine and away from engine. and it dont seem to bugde. im trying to do it without damage to cowl. i was thinking that maybe its been 25 yrs since it was moved. so i today, i sprayed area with pb blaster, hoping it will loosen up a bit. hopefully that works.
im able to move the little tab in both directions, but like i said, it wont budge. |

Re: how do i remove wiper arms??
Got mine from ebay, I figurde it's a good thing to have around and not mess up my windshield wipers and paint, think I got it for like five bucks shipped great investment and very easy to take off and put on with it.

Re: how do i remove wiper arms??
im gonna try napa.... i thought i read somewhere that napa might have a tool to remove the arms. hopefully they have it.
i dont want to damage anything, and if in theory, by pulling or pushing the clip, the arm should just pull off.... then mine are stuck |

Re: how do i remove wiper arms??
You can stick a small nail under the clip that holds the wiper on the post instead of buying the tool. Then you have both hands free to pull the wipers off.
