my truck eats flashers!!!
Ive got a 67 longbed and i just noticed my blinkers arent blinking, again! anyway this is the third flasher ive put in in a year and that just doesnt seem right to me. any suggestions on what to check or have any of you guys ran into this problem?

have you cleaned the contacts to bright shiny metal and a thin coating of dielectric grease// where the flasher plugs in,where the lightbulbs are installed and also check the ground path for good clean contacts at all points
by have nice clean shiny contacts and grounds there is less load on the flasher and the system works better

Your flasher has 2 spades. Look at the pattern and then look at the new flashers at the parts store you frequent. The ecectronic ones have a blue transparent plastic housing. Try that and see what it does. WES

Do you have anything that isn't stock attached to your turn signal circuit? This could include (but isn't limited to) a trailer harness, extra lights, special bulbs, or anything else that could increase the current draw over stock.
