Just got It 71 C10
I just got the truck and now I'm a new member, the adventure starts! I found this 71 C10 with 81,000 original miles, 350 3 on the tree, front disk brakes, posi rear-end, all stock and only a little cancer on the floor boards. Paid 3 grand. Did I do alright? I think so. Stay tuned for the updates.

Re: Just got It 71 C10
I think you did OK.....you didn't steal it nor did you get raped!....original unmolested trucks are getting harder and harder to find.

Re: Just got It 71 C10
Yup, I been wrenchin on the old green Tymbomb. Bought the performance package from Brothers. Lowered the front 4" and the rear 6". 2" drop spindles and 2" drop springs up front with 4" drop springs in the rear with 2" lowering blocks. Sway bars all around new adjustable trac bar and Brothers performaance shocks. It handles much better. Moved the 3 on the tree to the floor. I just scored an original set of 5 lug Rally wheels. That will be next on the agenda.

Ya Richard it did. That ugly thing weighed a ton. I think I'll be ordering a stock painted bumper to match the front.

Re: Just got It 71 C10
awesome truck man!!
I think you got a pretty decent deal, atleast for my area. That truck would sell all day long for 3-4k around here. btw, looks 10x better lowered. Thats the way they should have came from the factory. lol |

Re: Just got It 71 C10
looks like a cool start for sure, and in that condition up here for 3 grand it would be a steal, the drop makes a huge difference, wish my project was driveable, jealous of everyone with that setup

Re: Just got It 71 C10
That ugly thing would have looked great on my 4X4 after it had the wrapp around pieces trimmed down a little and was blasted and painted, but the shipping would have killed me!
