I've got a 15-yr old kenwood tape deck in mine. Oh YEAH!

But seriously, I plan on getting a stock am/fm radio when I get some $.

Here's what I'm running in the 68 panel. AM and 8 track. Best of both worlds.

Google is your friend:

A Lot of these radios are set up to plug your MP3 into them, plus rca connectors for amps ect.

Re: Radios!

I just installed one with a DVD player, it also takes SD cards, CDs and has Bluetooth so my cell automatically links up when I get a call. It has a 5.5" motorized screen. I paid only $200 for it and have had it about two months now and it still works perfect. I recently hooked up rear view camera that automatically turns on when I put the truck in reverse. I have an ipod dock that displays the coverflow from my ipod on the screen and has its own remote, I can look through 400 CDs on my ipod and pick any one of them easily. I love it!
I mounted two ten inch subs in sealed boxes under the seat, a 6 inch midrange in each door and a 1.25" tweeter mounted the the dash just above my AC vents. I mounted three amps in the pocket behind the passenger seat. It sounds excellent.
Here is a pic of my cheap DVD,monitor.

You can see the view from my rear view camera on the screen.
Before I painted my truck I cut the dash and flattened the indentations where the radio knobs used to go, I also filled with my MIG the slight hole edge left from the holes the knobs went through on each side. To fit the screen I had to remove the face of my ashtray and mount a new one I made out of a piece of aluminum, I anodized it black, I am thinking of painting it to match the cab but I'm not sure yet.

Its a SSLSD555MB.
Here is a link http://www.soundstormlab.com/main/761

I bought it from mobileaudioandmore.com
For a cheap model its built pretty good. It also has a touch screen that makes adjusting things easy without looking at it. The only thing I dont like is the remote, it came with one of those card shaped remotes with the little bubble buttons. Other than that it has performed great and actually sounds very nice!

Its a single DIN so it fit right in my dash. Like I said I did have to remove the ashtray face and make a new one that wasn't as tall, the ashtray wouldnt open as it would hit the screen. The screen is motorized, it moves out of the way to insert a DVD, CD or memory card, it also tilts up and down so you can adjust the viewing angle. My wife actually watched a movie on it last week on a short road trip. It has a very nice picture!

It's one unit, the face plate, display is always visible, it doesnt slide into the deck when you turn it off like other models do, that is why I bought it, the ones that slide out always fold up and hit the dash pad in our trucks, that makes the screen angle down so you cant see it, the one I bought is always visible.

I only cut the dash to fit a single DIN head unit, any standard CD head unit fits the hole you see in the pic. All I cut was the sides of the original hole, the two holes where the stock radio knobs went through. After I cut it to size there was still the very edge of the original knob holes left and the indented area around them, I flattened those and welded up what was left of the edge of the holes. ( if that makes sense!)
If I take that DVD head unit out a standard cd player will fit in the same hole perfectly.

Here is a pic of the hole after I cut it to size and welded up the little edge of the hole that was left over from where the original knob holes were.

Here is a pic after I first cut it, you can see the little left over hole that was on each end, these were also indented a little as well, I flattened the area with a c clamp then filled the edge with my MIG so that little hole wouldn't show up on the edge of the cd player.
