paint on my 1970 C10 Truck
I got my truck painted and I am not too satisfied with the color combination. I was thinking of getting the whole truck painted the same color, or having the same color lighten so that I can get the two tone that I want. I need your opinion on this one.

Just give it time to grow on you before you repaint it. I think the color is beautiful. Can we have more pics?

Re: paint on my 1970 C10 Truck
Yea Ill post more pics tomorrow. That way I can take a pic with the sun hitting on it. Yea, I need to install the engine and all the trimmings then he will clean the truck for me. But, before I did all that work, I wanted to get feed back. He still needs to color sand and buff the paint, so now it would be an opportune time to repaint the top and interior if needed.

Re: paint on my 1970 C10 Truck
I think it looks good. I assume you are using the chrome trim that breaks up the paint line between the light and dark, otherwise that line really needs to get fixed.

Yea, there will be a stainless steel trim that seperates the dark and the light paint.

Re: paint on my 1970 C10 Truck
looks great ! clean it and enjoy! I don't think your trim will cover the paint line at the back of the cab. the pins you see in the pics are the center point of the trim. sorry, Have your painter mask&reshoot the gray up to the pins just my.02 cheers, Pat

Re: paint on my 1970 C10 Truck
It all depends what you want, i think the color combo is awesome but if you dont you should change it. Nothings worse than putting all that time and hard work and money into something then after its all done think you should of painted it a different color or done something different. Paint takes a while to get use to it seems .

Re: paint on my 1970 C10 Truck
The trim will be fixed when I take it back to the painter. He thought it had a thicker trim and thought it would cover it. So, I am thinking of leaving it alone. Or, if anyone has a suggestion on the top color, I would love to hear it.

Re: paint on my 1970 C10 Truck
I love the dark grey...what's it from or the paint code?
Before taking a plunge on changing the color, I'd mock up the grille and cowl and take step back to see if that changes anything...if not, paint it a color your happy with.
