Re: 1968 Chevy "Good body"
In all honesty there are probably some nice pieces (underhood etc.) on this truck, but I get tired of seeing ads describing "nice body" only to see a destroyed farm/ranch truck. At least he has a picture so no one wastes their time on a long road trip. Sharpie

Re: 1968 Chevy "Good body"
My truck looks better than that and when I tried to sell it, I couldn't even get $500.

Re: 1968 Chevy "Good body"
You guys ever hear the term "ranch raisin"?
I have a friend who lived in Wyoming for 10 years. That is what they called those unrusted, every panel dented, trucks.

Re: 1968 Chevy "Good body"
Definitely patina'ed, but better than a lot around my neck of the woods for that amount.

Re: 1968 Chevy "Good body"
Let's be nice guys. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say he is starting high and working his way down. Some folks have got no clue what vehicles are worth and they got to start out at some $$$ value. If the mechanics are strong...it might be worth that...well maybe a lttle less as a work truck. JMHO

Re: 1968 Chevy "Good body"
I traveled 160 miles once to see a "rust free" truck with a "good body", when I got there I thought I had to be seeing the wrong truck because it was nothing but dents and the entire bed floor had rusted out! The guy wanted $2,500 for it and wouldnt even let me test drive it. I offered him a lot less and he told me if he put new rims on it that it would sell for $4,000! He reminded me very loudly that these trucks are classics!

Re: 1968 Chevy "Good body"
You warm weather guys are too picky Id rather pound out a few dents in each panel than replace rusted panels like we have to deal with. The junk I ran into looking for a truck up here was alot worse than that and for the same or more money. Id buy it if it ran/drove decent and could whittle the price down a bit.
