Windshield wiper upgrade?
Hey guys, I live in Washington and obviously it rains a little here. I plan on installing a washer fluid pump and resivoir. I am curious if anyone has done any upgrades on wiper motors? I would like to have more than the one speed my wipers currently have. Any ideas?

Re: Windshield wiper upgrade?
These trucks could get a 2 speed wiper option, along with a windshield washer. Check out this link:

Re: Windshield wiper upgrade?
If you want to upgrade to an aftermarket system, Newport Engineering makes two versions for the 60-66 trucks:
https://www.newportwipers.com/produc...0-66&make_id=2 If the link doesn't work just go to the home page and click on new products. I had one of their systems in my 46 Ford sedan a number of years ago and it worked perfectly. They also offer switch extensions that will allow it to fit in the factory dash hole, along with a delay option, and a built in washer pump switch. They're spendy, but NOS or rebuilt originals aren't all that easy to come by, and probably don't offer the same level of performance. |

For us "one" speeders, can a vairable resister be added to the circuit to control the speed? Mine feel like they are on high.

Re: Windshield wiper upgrade?
Ron Francis (and probably others) sells a two speed switch for one speed wipers. I tried one on my truck once. It provided slow, and dead slow so I removed it. If yours run faster than mine it might prove helpful.
