That's All Folks.......

I sold my blazer awhile ago, it left with the soft top installed and my self and the buyer finally finished getting things in order to ship the top. The last pc is leaving today.

Nice job on the crate. That is a big item to ship. What was the cost for shipping if you don't mind me asking?

Re: That's All Folks.......

Wouldn't it have been a lot cheaper and easier to ship the soft top and send the hard top with the Blazer?

Re: That's All Folks.......

Or send the hard top with the Blazer and fold up the soft top and put it in the back of the Blazer for no shipping at all? I'm sure there wa a good reason you did it the way you did.

Re: That's All Folks.......

Good morning ALL,

In response to some of your questions:

I had been contemplating selling the blazer but was continuing to build it if I didn't get an offer that I wanted.

That being said, I had purchased and installed the new soft-top about 2 weeks before the truck was sold. I didn't want to have to break it all down again. The purchaser wanted the truck with the soft-top on and wasn't concerned about shipping the hard top to him later in the year.

I will try and get the info on the cost of shipping from him just so you get an idea of price. The top weighs 240 lbs. ( thanks to a board member).

The final weight was 770 lbs crate, top and extras that we packed in.

Re: That's All Folks.......

Since someone asked,..( Rsavage) ... the price on shipping the crate was $565.00 from southeastern NH to central MI.

Considering the oversize aspects of the crate that wasnt too bad.
