I would either get a junkyard steering column or a column from a swap meet. The aftermarket columns like the ones Ididit sells are nice, but are a little pricey to me. |

I have an extra column from a 62 I think. If you want it, you can have it. You will have to come get it though.

Re: po cut steering ????
I think I have a couple also from the 64-66 columns. I can't say for sure if they are still around or not. Next time I go up to my shop I can take a look. You can have one ifyou want. I should be going up there in the next week or so to get my engine hoist.

Re: po cut steering ????
just a suggestion - now would be a perfect time to do a power steering conversion. 73-87 PS box, hoses and pump, one of Captianfab's PS box adapters, a Borgeson Ujoint or stock rag joint, and the column of your choice. Safe, easy, and no welding on critical steering components.
Drive around with standard steering in that thing for a while, and you'll wish you'd converted sooner. Ralph |
