slip yoke question
what do yall use to keep your slip yokes from clunking. i know its the slip yoke because if i put grease on the splines it will stop clunking, and besides i just had my tranny RE-rebuilt and the clunk is the same as before i swapped the rearend out. i heard of people putting silicone on the splines but wasnt sure about that unless someone tells me thats the way it is suppose to be done. oh yea and i have swapped the drive shaft and i get the same clunk. i am looking for a permanenet fix. WHAT DO YALL USE

Mine does that. It seems I raised my idle a tad and that seemed to help. Silicone works for a while. Only good fix is to replace drive shaft with one piece but I've heard pros and cons.

Hmmm well maybe your slip yoke is worn out. Maybe my front yoke is worn out.
