Ok guys We have a 67 C10 with 350 engine and 700R4 transmission, also Front crossmember is from a 83 truck. All that is installed no biggie right well I am curious befor I start going to deep if the Headers I got with the engine (79 C10 truck) will work in my 67 C10? I tried for few mins with now luck thought about pulling transmission out since still building truck. So will headers from a 79 C10 work on 67 C10 if I got a 83 crossmember? Thanks in advnce guys!!!!

Re: Headers in 67 C10 ?

I had a set of 69090 Hedmans(orig purchased for a 78 C-20),& also ran them on my 69....so yes , they should fit The top lip on the frame rails are a little wider on the 67 frame in the eng compartment(due to the BB added to the 68 line), but I think the headers will clear. They need to go in from the bottom. crazyAl

Re: Headers in 67 C10 ?

I have some cheapo flow tech longtubes on mine and they say they fit anything from 67-87ish, they have enough room that last time I pulled the engine I left them on the engine and it came out with no problem. You should have no problems except for the frame rails being a little tighter, you may have to do some trimming.

Re: Headers in 67 C10 ?

I had problems on my 67 when I used the original V-8 engine stands. When I used the inline 6 stands they fit just fine, except for the back flange bolt on number 8 cylinder was hard to tighten.
I'd like to find some that would fit good with the V-8 in the original position.
