transfer case help!
so today i put my truck in 4 wheel drive for the first time since i've owned it. so the first thing i did, was twist in the hubs. then i hopped in, and i jammed the transfer case lever all the way back toward the seat. now, i figured i was in 4LO. then i went to find 4HI and i couldnt find it.. thats when i got frustrated and just gave up before i broke something.
so, can anyone tell me the pattern on this t-case?!

Re: transfer case help!
Take a picture of it, since it is over 40 years old and could be damn near anything at this point.

Re: transfer case help!
if its a T221 2hi is all the way to the front. You sure its a 67? You have side marker lights that were not on 67's.

Re: transfer case help!
so, my opinion is that you're not really going to hurt anything, unless you really force it.
sometimes these old X-fer cases have an attitude. it is easy for them to "jam" up a bit when shifting and not moving at all. I'd rock it forward or backward just enough to move. that should help the free the shifting up. if you've got the T-221, the floor is 2HI, then 4HI, N, 4LO is by the seat. this is what you should have in a stock '67.

Re: transfer case help!
yeah, its a '67, but the body panels were replaced over time because one of the previous owners liked the lights. when i looked at it the day i got it, that was the first thing i asked.

A NP205 case is front to back: 4LO-N-2HI-4HI
