Re: need pics of aftermarket ac vents

I installed Classic Auto Air in my 69 SWB. I used the factory center vent, and used their side vents. This is a great company, that I recommend!! Here are a couple of pics. Oh yea, I live in NE florida, and it blew 37 degree air in July!!!

I got these at Old Air, one for each side and one in the middle. This was not an A/C cab.

Re: need pics of aftermarket ac vents

Thanks for getting some pics up. How hard was it to cut the vent obove the radio? I'm guessing hole saw on the sides. I have old air unit now with vents under dash and they look like crap. I would like some that are black and could be closed flat. I seen them in an old street rodder magazine, but can't find them now.

Re: need pics of aftermarket ac vents

The Classic Auto air kit comes with a template. I followed the instructions, and cut it SMALL. then took a hand file and took my time until it was a snug fit. This is what they recommend. I had to kind of push the vent into the hole. I also used a duct that I bought from Brothers the used only one hose to the center vent. This allows more air flow thru it, and also allowed me to have an indash speaker. Music nut! I love the old cars, almost as much as I love my music. Country and Rock!
