Need help buying the correct shift indicator

I need help to ensure I buy the correct shift indicator for a 1972 chevy tilt wheel. I bought a tilt column from a member on the forum and the indicator is broke where it exits the indicator bracket that mounts on the column. I pulled it out and what was left was a 3" red piece of what appears to be an optical cable. Bit if I read correctly the tilt on a 72 does not use optical. There is a place inside the column to put in a small lamp bulb. Please send me a picture of your with where and what to buy.

Thanks
