Lightbulb can 72 body fit on 95 SWB frame?

I had a wreck the other day....need a new grill and bumber......but I bent the frame in the front......however I just found out today I can get a rolling chassis from a 95 SWB.....how many mods would I have to do to get this to work?

You will have your hands full with the modifications. I've never done it myself. I would'nt recommend that frame. Honestly I don't see much to gain. It has the same technology in the front end as a 71 for the most part. You would be giving up your current 12 bolt, which is pretty stout. I have driven many of those newer trucks and have noticed in reverse they flex and hop.

never noticed the flexing, but my dads 89 4x4 does hop bad in reverse, especially in loose dirt

if it is all like the 73-87 frames dont, it wont work unless its a 4x4, we tried a 85 swb frame under a 67 short step...the frame bends up too early on the way to the rearend, so the rear cab mounts are too high, causing the body lines on the cab and box not to line up, if it is a 4x4 though it should work fine because the body can all be lifted maybe 2-3" off the mounts
