transmission floor clearance
hi all, anyone know if a tremec 5 speed will fit under a small hump 66.thanks

I had the same question about a 700R4 and I got replies that it would fit. My other thoughts were going with the Tremec. I would think it would, but hopefully someone chimes in with a absolute yes. Merry Christmas!

Pic is of a TKO 600 in a low hump 61.It didn't clear but I was using the front "horseshoe" mount along with the mounts on the bell housing.If you have the side motor mounts you could probably drop the tail end of the trannie a little to make it clear the hump.I am no expert at this so I don't know if dropping the rear of the tranny would cause any alignment issues with the drive train but I would ASSUME you would be all right.The high hump cover and the corresponding firewall piece would do the trick if you don't want to mess with too much fabrication.Hope this helps!
