New Guy Saying Hello
Hello,
My name is Dustin and I have a 68 C20 with a 350. Short story on the truck: Growing up as a kid, this truck was used by my uncle to haul logs and lumber on. He had an ol' circle mill. When he passed, I didn't have any where to keep the truck etc. so I sold it. Now it came back to me. Some changes to it, but I got it back. Previous owners took out the brake booster, power steering, and the emergency brake handle from the dash. I haven't had a chance to really look around the site, but I'll be looking for the following if anyone has any leads on the parts etc. Set of Rust Free Doors, Doesn't have to have the glass etc. Shell is fine. Brake Booster with bracket. Power steering set up If a decent priced E-Brake handle popped up, I might be interested. I look forward to hanging out here, if you let me. |

Re: New Guy Saying Hello
Welcome to the site from Maryland! That's a great story. Glad you got it back.
It looks like both doors were changed out. As we can see they are primed and have the upper trim holes.

Re: New Guy Saying Hello
welcome from california. neat story on your truck, glad you got it back. one of my 72 cheyenne 4x4s was bought new by a deceased uncle. i bought it from him several years ago and had hoped to finish restoring it so he would be able to see it before he passed away. an ugly divorce ruined my plans financially and an aggressive cancer took him a couple years ago. he and I were really close, we used to fish together all the time and i had told him for many years that if he ever sold the truck i wanted to be first in line.

Re: New Guy Saying Hello
Ok. Thanks
I think I might have a hole for shoulder belts, right now they appear to be some sort of a silver colored plug covering where they would go. Sound right? |

If you do away with those plugs I would be interested in them as mine are long gone.

Re: New Guy Saying Hello
My parts truck is a 68 and I am using the cab on my 71. You can have the e brake handle for free if you want it. I will have to pull it as it is still in the cab. Let me know, you would just have to cover the shipping. That is the only thing I can help you with.

Re: New Guy Saying Hello
Danny-
I would greatly appreciate that and that sounds like a heck of a deal. Probably in pretty good shape I would assume? Let me know what shipping would be to 50648 and we'll go from there. Thanks again. |

Re: New Guy Saying Hello
I will go out there this weekend and get some photos for you. I don't think it will cost much to ship.

Re: New Guy Saying Hello
Sounds good Danny.
Thanks again. Behind the plugs, the hole is threaded for the shoulder belt bolt. The plugs broke while taking them out. |
