This is prolly a dumb question but I have seen a lot of people shaving the firewalls on here . What do you use for heat if you take it all out and shave it ? or do you just not drive your truck when it's cold ? I plan on driving mine as much as possible so I'm gunna want some heat lol

I have used both a rear bus heater and a motorcycle radiator in the past with the hoses running through the floor and up through the kick panel. Worked great in with both, a small motorcycle electric fan worked great too.

I shaved the firewall, and for now have no heat or air. I plan to eventually buy a under dash unit with heat and air. If you don't need the air, you can buy heat only units. I got an idea for another board member, LFD I think, and plan to run a pass thru bulk head in the area below the right kick panel vent and have the lines/hoses come in there. Trying to keep things hidden.
You could also just get a nice billet pass thru bulk head and stick over on pass side firewall area to route hoses.
