pops out of gear?
okay, so my truck apparently dosent like 3rd gear, because if you arent on the gas hard, it'll pop out. anyone know whats wrong?

Sounds like bad syncro's to me.

Try adjusting the linkage and the stops before you submit to the worn syncros.

oh, and if it matters, its a 4 speed. and could it be driven like this anyway? 3rd isnt used much around here.

they are out the top. and thanks for the info! i will check it out tomorrow. and is there any suprises i'll run into taking th shifter out/putting it back in?

To take the shifter out, push down on the top of the round tin surrounding the lever and turn counter clockwise.

im not a master at this stuff, but should i take it to a tranny shop, or could i tackle this by myself? part of me wants to try, but i dont want to mess something up and have it worse of then before.
