This is what I did on Xmas Vacation

I had a little over two weeks to get the engine and transmission in, I took her for a the first drive on Christmas day and since then, I've compiled just over 500 miles. I also had a chance to finish off the interior. Couldn't be happier with the way it runs!

Re: This is what I did on Xmas Vacation

I really like it. We always have a soft spot for nice trucks put back original. Our 72 longhorn has a saddle interior with factory buckets... can't wait til it looks as good as yours.
Happy new year Paul and Jason

Nice Christmas present for you! Really is a great feeling to get a truck rolling again under it's own power. Post some more pics of that rascal.

You got a lot more done on your vacation than I did on mine!

Sweet truck, enjoy the ride.

That truck is nice! I really like the job you did on the interior. That is a lot of work in a short time.

Re: This is what I did on Xmas Vacation

Looks great! Did your truck always have the headliner? If not did you notice a big difference in sound quality after it was installed?
It sure does look nice! Better than a new truck!

Re: This is what I did on Xmas Vacation

Ok, I've posted these pictures before but due to requests, Here's a before and after.
As you can probably tell, I had a great platform to work with.

Also, the head liner is stock, so I really couldn't tell you if it makes a difference in sound deadening.

Before...

After...
