Steering column shifter collar???

Looking to buy 71 C10 truck that was a 3 on the tree, now a real 4 speed. I can't stand seeing the lug sticking out on the column from where the factory shift lever was. Does anyone know where we can find a collar for a floor shifted truck???

There are pics in this thread of what I did with mine...

This was a tilt but you could do the same thing with a non-tilt.

Re: Steering column shifter collar???

I've only ever seen one factory non-shifter column in my life. There are tons of them at Charlotte but few without a shifter on them. And I make it to Charlotte for almost every swap meet(spring and Fall) for the last 8-10 years

Re: Steering column shifter collar???

med duty trucks were all made with no shifter on the column. Another billion or two were 4 speed trucks 10 - 30 series.
I can't see why it'd be hard to find. Last time I had one I couldn't give it away, I TRIED!

Re: Steering column shifter collar???

That's the way it goes. I thought a bob truck column would be a good place to start looking. Going to check out LockDoc's thread as well. Thanks everyone.
