first 'Megacab' dually?
I was looking on Mautofied, and saw this....86 CC Dually, with ground effects, no engine/trans, BUT wait...what is this? about 8" behind the rear doors to the bed? was this an option? or custom built? The ad mentions nothing of it.

Re: first 'Megacab' dually?
Not that...Look closer, between that and the rear doors.

Re: first 'Megacab' dually?
that thing would make a sweet road trip truck
with the ext cab the rear seats that proberly could fall down into a bed and a flip out TV, cooler and other stuff like that in the Sleeper lower it abit and throw a diesel in there for the MPG

Re: first 'Megacab' dually?
Im not talking about the sleeper on the bed, I am talking about the 6-8" extention on the rear of the cab, Tra-Tech and The Western Hauler conversion companies here in Fort Worth were putting them on in the 80's

Re: first 'Megacab' dually?
This was an extended cab conversion, but without windows. Check the thread on here about "extended cab square bodies". I own an 85 extended cab 1/2T. It's got the windows and rear jump seats. I've seen one other 3/4T extended cab here locally that didn't have windows in the back. That was about 2 years ago.....It's probably sitting in his yard somewhere now

Re: first 'Megacab' dually?

Re: first 'Megacab' dually?
The small extensions were fiberglass, the extended cabs were made of steel ( wasn't real good job) at least that is what I remember from countless trips to their manufacturing locations in North Fort Worth back in the 80's

Re: first 'Megacab' dually?
That is a cool truck! I've been thinking about doing this to my 95 ford pretty hard lately. I was going to go 6 door, but that is a lot of truck.
