67 steering stops opposed to the 74's

tried to locate the point of reference where this was said but my replacement 74 suspension/cradle does not have the better turning radius as the 67 its going in so should i change the stops? no problem with the ability to do that here as much as will it do what i want? it was said that the stops can be "trimmed" on the 74 but w/o a better discription ????? im now concerned about "oversteering" ,for lack of a better description, and damaging some component. thanks all

thanks for the reply "jimmydean" so there's no stressed points or binding with the tie rods and related suspension w/o stops?

There wasn't on my '69 and a co-workers '65 running without stops. I haven't installed the '73+ arms (pictured) yet, but I don't foresee any.

The stops have been removed from my lwr arms and I'm on the verge of replacing them. What's the down side to removing the stops? Can you 'over steer' and what could happen?

Ya...beginning to wonder if I really need to spend the money on replacing them. Started a thread in 67-72 forum to solicit more advice/opinions. Thanks.
