Remove your heater core, the motor will bolt thu the bottom and lift out the top, the leaves filter down thru the cowl vents and into the heater box if its not shut all the way.

Re: 66 fan motor removal

Interesting, I just did this and there was just 6 small screws holding the blower motor to the bottom of the airbox from the underside...didn't need to remove the core to get to it.

If you want to break it all down for a good cleaning, i highly recommend taking the 2 nuts under the dash inside the cab off and removing the whole airbox assembly from the firewall. Then you can just clean it off on the workbench....easier on your back. There are a couple screws between the airbox and firewall that are a pain to get at as well.

X2 what dracko said also inside the cab to make easier to get at the screws holding the heater box take out the glove box and the defroster tube. Get it out where it's easier to clean out the mice nests and yellow jacket pods. Have fun...Vernski
