Re: drop shackles
Those can be set for 1" or 2" by using the upper or lower hole. Currently they are at 2".

Re: drop shackles
Do a hanger kit, or raise your hanger for a total of 4" drop. If you want more go with a flip kit.

Re: drop shackles
Hangers are 2" and shackle is 2" for a total of 4". You are going to need to do something with the spring pack though.

After dropping mine,, To get those hangers off, I would of went with the flip!!! Ended up on doing both. After flipping really no need for the hangers. I moved em in close to the standard location. I would just do the flip, Much easier and it will drop you. But you WILL be looking into a C-Notch kit.

Re: drop shackles
With only 2 leafs in your spring pack, I think you will need a notch with 4" of drop.

Re: drop shackles
Also want to drop the rear of my truck 2". Do you guys recommend the shackles or the hangers? If I use the shackles, which are less than half the cost, is cutting the bed cross rail a must? Measuring with a tape, right now I have 2 1/2" between the rail and the leaf spring. Of course this is without any weight in the bed.

Re: drop shackles
If your only going 2" then the shackle is the way to go. The length of your springs and bed will determine if you have to notch the bed channel.

Re: drop shackles
drop shackles cutting bed it may be a must but not hard at all just mark where shackles going to hit take bed off flip up is easier and just cut i left about a 1/4 inch so it still had strength in bed rail

Re: drop shackles
Shouldn't matter.
The shackle, hanger, frame and bed all move together (vertically) as you add weight. K

Re: drop shackles
If you just do a flip kit you dont have to notch the frame, correct? I do believe you have to notch the frame if you go 6in or more with just a flip kit. I think their are a few people on here who said they did 6in total with a flip kit without a notch but wouldnt recomend carring any weight.
