Saw This Today.....
I was told that this Intake set-up was anywhere between $6K-$8K.
Am I missing something here? Maybe you guys could enlighten me/***** slap me, so I can understand what this is (besides being an Intake) and why it's so costly?

Re: Saw This Today.....
Looks like a factory FI intake modified for modern injectors. They are rare and expensive in stock form, let alone polished and upgraded.

Re: Saw This Today.....
That is a factory 63 to 65 Corvette FI unit that has been polished and upgraded for modern injectors. I don't think it is worth that much, it is worth a lot in stock form but not 6 to 8K

Re: Saw This Today.....
Some would say they ruined an expensive factory Fuelie set-up. It would be worth more in original form. It's a way cool touch for the top of a motor in an expensive custom. Once removed it's only worth what someone will pay. I love it,but that's just a crazy price.

The motor was out on this Corvette and it was just sitting there, so I thought I'd take a pick and ask people here what they thought.

Re: Saw This Today.....
Very cool! I'd like to have setup factory like that.
How about the car did you snap any pictures of it?

Re: Saw This Today.....
That is too cool. I love the old rochester FI units. Agree with the rest though, way, overpriced. I attended 3 Carlisle events last year and restored units were going for $3000-4000. To me, it is worth more restored, but these things weren't exactly "easy to tune" and much of the appeal was visual. Upgraded with modern injectors, I bet it runs pretty darn sweet. Not $8000 sweet, but sweet anyway. I'd buy it. If I won the lottery and had no friends to give my money to...
