70 gas cap problem,,,,
We are starting on our 70 model C10. Needed a gas cap, i work at an auto parts store, no problem, got a gas cap. Too big... OK, try a 71,, too big... They will not go into the filler neck. has anyone else ran into this problem. I have sold a few of these in the 30 years i have been selling parts,, seems like it is always our vehicles that give us problems. Any ideas?? Suggestions?? Thanks, Fred

Re: 70 gas cap problem,,,,
I have had this problem. Someone may have changed out the gas tank. Try one for a 72.

Re: 70 gas cap problem,,,,
if you use a 72cap it is not vented so make sure you have a venting system for your tank
