Re: K5 Tune Up

It's amazing how a trip to the car wash and a few spark plugs can make one feel like a new hot rod!

Re: K5 Tune Up

Now I suppose you are going to tell us that it runs like a whole new vehicle after your tune up?

Re: K5 Tune Up

I have been working on getting the K5 running good. It had been sitting for a few yrs and needed some tlc. I had to replace the exhaust- 2.5 with 2 chamber flowmasters and tailpipes out behind the rear wheels. I rebuilt the Q-Jet, installed new plug wires, it still has a little stumble in it. I forgot to mention, someone installed a 72 400 small block in it. It is fairly fresh, I saw brass freeze plugs while underneath. I ran the pad numbers and it comes up a 400 from a 72 Caprice. The next item is the gas tank, old one dented and looks bad. Thinking about LMC kit. I will keep moving on. My Camaro in the pic has a Blown 502 in it that I just freshened up and installed in Set 10' It has a 6-71 Littlefield Blower with 2 950 Holly's, Richmond 5 speed with a Long Pistol Grip Vertigate. I hope to use the K5 to tow my Camaro around!
