Not mine, but thinking it should be...
Alright, i saw this on CL over month ago, but the picture were soo tiny I didn't get excited. the owner reposted the add with much better pictures...now i'm interested, but in my mind know better. however, the car guy in me says i shouldn't walk away from a deal...
the ride tech control arms, drop member and kp kit make up the price tag, not to mention the body work and tubbed rear... what do you think? http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/2161386240.html if you're in central ohio, please by this so the temptation leaves....

Lot of nice parts, but it still has a LONG way to go. I wouldn't pay over 4500 for it.

Re: Not mine, but thinking it should be...
don't buy a built ride unless you know who built it and how. Just my humble opinion.
Here's part of my story: http://www.streetsource.com/forum/94...LUCK-EVER.html Here's the rest to where it is now: http://www.streetsource.com/forum/11...pic-heavy.html The first shop i took it to (9 hours away) was supposed to have it done by september 08, he called in November 09 and said to pick it up, all he had done was tear it apart and let it sit outside for a year and a half. The 2nd shop i took it to was supposed to have it done for me in April 2010 (i was supposed to drive it home from dallas), i picked it up this past friday half done. Now 3 years, 2 shops, and about $20k later, i still have a pos that doesn't run. Please learn from my mistakes.

Re: Not mine, but thinking it should be...
well, i wasn't looking for a full blown show truck, so the straight body with flat black would be fine. I'm not sure how the drop member was installed and i know the rear floor wasn't raised (just tubbed). I wouldn't buy it without looking it over more closely. I would hope to avoid a huge pit fall, but if the body is decent and with the parts he list in the description you would think it isn't too screwed (but still very possible). i talked to the guy and dropped to $4500 without the 22s buy just asking via email, but i may sit on it as while longer and see if it gets any cheaper... thanks for the input/advice.
My biggest hold up now is that I already have a 95 suburban with all the same parts waiting to installed.

Re: Not mine, but thinking it should be...
yeah, that should be fine, then. i wanted something the whole family could cruise in (my bagged s10 was always going to be a 2-seater), and i just wanted to get something that had the hard part already done so i could make it my own a little at a time while still driving it. I had no idea what kind of ride i was in for. I bought mine from Utah (about 1500 miles away), so you should be able to get to take a good close look at it. Those dropmembers are awesome, that's what i have on my burb (that started last night, yay!).
also, i'm not someone to tell a man what to do with his own business, but as someone in near the same boat as you, i offer this advice: One project at a time. Multiple projects are good for businesses, but bad for individuals. Finish your 95 first, imo.
