Hi Guys--been a while

After having had dozens of 67-72 trucks/blazers, I took a leave for a while. I sold off most of my parts and gave quite a few to Jamie_72. I am just getting a little too old to continue doing all the wrenching I used to.
That being said---anyone care to take a peak at my latest ride? A hint---it looks just like a ferrari---runs dam near like a ferrari and in fact when it was first made--it could beat them. It is ALL aluminum and weighs in at just over 2900lbs. It's little 3.0 ltr revs to it's 8,000 rpm pretty quick with it's variable valve timing kicking in at 5,800 rpm for a nice little kick. It isn't cheap---even when it's 20 year old. It has a top end of 170mph and trust me, it will do it! OK, anyone guess it yet?


I know I am not totally out from trucks but my next one will be a 68--needing---nothing! hehehee

Huck! glad to see you on here again! Nice NSX, a friend had one, awesome cars, speed of a Ferrari w/ day to day driveability of an Accord. When he first got it he hopped on an interstate on ramp. think he was hittin close to a buck 20 as he entered freeway, think there was some cleaning that needed to be done one of those seats... have fun man, enjoy not wrenchin!

Probably one of the best all around exotics ever created. I used to work for a company by the name of Comptech (out of business now) that made a name for themselves building performance parts for the NSX. I've had quite a bit of seat time in supercharged, big brake, suspension modified NSX's that were pretty incredible.

Ques--"what did I wind up paying for it?"---I started out at $18,500. then tax at 6%, then it was time to bring the maintenance up to date---It needed the timing belt-water pump service, clutch slave and master cylinder, cam shaft pulgs, valve adjust---so that all came to $2,100. (most of this expense I factored into the price I was willing to pay). I also bought a set of Boyd Cottington wheels and tires which were a measley $300. Now after this work has been done---it still needs a new brake master cylinder ($400. installed) all new radiator and heator hoses as these are 19 years old ($500. P&L) and Oh by the way, the double disc stock original clutch is on it's last legs so the recommended replacement is one by "Science of Speed Sport Clutch" at a measley $1,650. plus another $600. to install.
So, in answer to your question---I will have close to $25 grand invested in the car. That's the bad news----the good news you say?? Well it's hard to put it in words---let's just say----anyone on the board who would like to come for a ride is welcome after I get the clutch in it. Just wear a diaper cause YOU WILL NEED IT!! (:>)
